I was a soldier decades ago. I am much older, and have changed quite a bit, which was what the article was about.
But more generally, can we keep commentary respectful? Substack shouldn’t be a place for hatred.
Using medical, disease or biological metaphors to describe people and countries is inherently racist.
I am sure you can find a way to express your deep opposition to Israeli policies in a different way, no?
I share your strong upset with Israeli policy. There has to be a better way to speak about our fellow humans, however.
